Marijuana and drug consumption in Veracruz
Rosalinda Morales .- The director of the Center for Addictions Sergio Mayoral Veracruz Canyon is considered prudent not legalize drugs because 70 percent of that consumed in Veracruz are young and now they make it easier to get them, would have to legalize to permit minors to use them.
He said that legalizing drugs, marijuana, which is the most consumed by young people, would become accessible to minors who have not yet tested. “And given the rate of drug abuse, prevention is better now find it difficult to find because it’s illegal sale, when legalized, will be on hand for all, legalize it and allow the children to consume.”
State Center director Sergio Mayoral Addictions Barranca reported that the drug most used by young people in Veracruz is marijuana, amphetamines which are not preferred by the Veracruz, rank fifth in the scale of preference. At the core of 30 young new addictions come every month and serve on average about 55 boys.
He said the most abused drug of Veracruz in general, marijuana first, the second crack, solvents and inhalants, third, fourth and cocaine or methamphetamine strikeouts in five.
